Call or email us and we can discuss what you need for a website. I will explain the options such as domain names and hosting servers, and obtain from you your type of business, the kind of website you need, how much of anything has been done to date, how many and what type of pages you need and if you have any particular concept in mind. I will discuss estimated costs for the project based on the information you give me.
If we decide to go forward, we usually ask for 50% of the estimated cost up front and the rest when the project is completed to your satisfaction. Financing can be setup if needed. We will ask for a credit card to pay for for your hosting server and domain name(s) and any photos we mutually agree to purchase. Any of these expenses will have your approval before committed. You will be responsible for the ongoing monthly or yearly costs associated with your server and domain name(s).
We will then require from you the following:
The first task we will do is design a home page concept from the information you have provided us. This conceptual home page will be on our own private server network so that you can have access to it, but it remains private, that is, it is not released or tied to your domain name(s) as yet.
We may create one or more concepts for us to discuss. All work is based on the priciple of responsive design, so that the website will view correctly on all screen sizes from desktop computers to tablets to mobile phones. We will work together until the basic concept is ready. If we use photos that are obtained from a third party site, I will only use unregistered photos until the website is complete. At that time all photos are paid for and registered and will be unmarked (no watermarks).
Once the home page concept is approved, I will proceed to the rest of the website.
At this point We will design the website. We will create the pages we discussed earlier, that is pages such as About, Products, Services, Galleries, Awards/Testimonials, Contact, and so on. These will all use the responsive design concept.
You will be able to view the design as it progresses on the private server link. Again, this is a mutual process where we need feedback from you as we develop to insure that all is coming together to meet your expectations.
We will also need from you at this time, key words and phrases that describe your business or what you want top portray. These are words or phrases that you would enter into a search engine if you were looking for what your website is displaying. We will make sure that the written text includes these as much as possible and that they are included in key areas of the design. This is the first step in helping to design for Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Once you have approved the entire website, we will move it onto your hosting server company and tie the domain name(s) that we have obtained to it and your new website will be live on the Internet. We will then submit the site to the major search engines.
After the site is released, We are available by phone or email for any problems that you notice. For continual support, if you later find you need text changes or swap a picture or photo, ie. anything that takes me less than 15 minutes over a week's period, it will be done at no cost for the first month after completion and aceptance. If you require large modifications, such as adding additional pages, the charge is between $30 and $60 per hour depending upon what is needed. We will provide you an estimate for the total before anything is started.
